Can A 4k Monitor Run 1440p

1440p on a 4K monitor is worse than 1440p on a 1440p monitor. To the best of my recollection my 4K 60Hz Samsung monitor says on their website that it can run upto 1080p 240Hz.

Can a 4k monitor run 1440p. But I think Ive only ever seen as high as 120Hz for 1080p as an available option in Windows. You cant display 1440p content on 1080p screen.
